Western Desert Operating Petroleum Company “WEPCO” participates in the events of Egypt’s International Petroleum conference and show “EGYPS 2020” in its forth cycle which was held sponsored by President Abdul-Fattah Al-Sisi and Engineer Tarek Al-Molla Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in the period from the 11th to the 13th of current February. The opening has been attended by the Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly – PHD, Engineer Sherif Ismael President of National Projects, Engineer Tarek Al-Molla Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and an entourage of ministers and heads of international petroleum companies and executives.
These events in their forth cycle “EGYPS 2020” has received great interest and constant support from the political leadership of the petroleum sector giving great weight to event what was held under the slogan “North Africa and the Mediterranean Sea: Providing Tomorrow’s Energy Needs”.
The conference is considered an important window of opportunity for Egypt to set the spotlight on the achieved results and the unprecedented developments in the Egyptian petroleum and gas industry and the success witnessed during 2019 and the previous years. The spotlight was also set on the future work plans that Egypt aims on executing to further the development of this vital industry and to promote for investments opportunities and show its capabilities. This conference is one of the effective instruments to contribute in attracting more international investments to Egypt in the petroleum and gas sector.
Western Desert Operating Petroleum Company “WEPCO” participated in the celebration with a delegation attended by Engineer Ibrahim Massoud the Chairman and Managing Director of the company and accompanied by members of the Board of Directors, Chairman’s assistants and an entourage of young leadership figures.
Engineer Ibrahim Massoud has held multiple meetings with those in charge of Egyptian and International companies, the meetings were held to exhibit the currently being executed projects at “WEPCO” and most especially the new marine line and the buoy SPM which started operating in January 2020 as well as the company’s plans for exploration.
This participation comes from the company’s prudence to attend all events concerning the Petroleum Field whether on Arabian or International level and displaying the company’s role and status in this giant industry which “WEPCO” occupies a long standing in it for more than fifty years.
